During the visit, the delegation gained a comprehensive understanding of the progress of the Laos potash project and provided guidance to support the orderly advancement and efficient implementation of the project.

The delegation conducted on-site visits to several project facilities, including the core sample repository, the 22 kV substation, the temporary camp office building, employee dormitories, the canteen, and the staff recreation center. They reviewed the preparatory work for project construction and the arrangements in place to support employees’ living conditions.

The delegation also acknowledged the project team’s efforts in efficiently advancing project work under complex overseas operating conditions.

During the review meeting, the Laos company presented a detailed report on the overall progress of the potash project. The delegation noted that the Laos potash project represents an important step in Zangge Mining’s overseas strategic development and is expected to support the Group’s long-term growth while contributing to the stable supply of potash fertilizer resources.

The delegation also recognized the project team’s efforts in advancing key areas of work despite operational challenges. Progress has been made in geological exploration, permitting procedures, technical studies, design optimization, and the refinement of the feasibility study, laying a solid foundation for the orderly advancement of the project.

With regard to the next phase of project advancement, the delegation outlined four key priorities. First, the project team should remain focused on its strategic objectives and continue to advance preparatory work to facilitate timely construction, commissioning and project operation. Second, strict adherence to safety and environmental standards should be maintained, ensuring green development, safe operations and compliant management.

Third, the project should fully leverage the complementary strengths of Zijin and Zangge by translating their respective expertise in technology, management and operations into practical progress in project development. Fourth, efforts should be made to strengthen engagement with local communities and stakeholders, promoting responsible resource development and fostering a supportive operating environment.

During the visit, the independent directors and members of management held in-depth and practical discussions with the management team of the Laos company on a range of key issues. These included project resource reserves, the progress of permitting and approvals, local taxation and foreign exchange regulations, financing cost management, the application of mining backfilling technologies, safety and environmental management, procurement and logistics optimization, workforce planning, and risk management.

Through these exchanges, the delegation provided constructive guidance aimed at addressing key challenges and optimizing project implementation plans, further supporting the efficient and orderly advancement of the project.

The visit served both as a comprehensive review of the progress made in the development of the Laos potash project and as encouragement for the project team. The Laos company stated that it will implement the guidance provided during the visit, remain focused on its objectives, and continue advancing project development in an efficient and responsible manner, supporting the implementation of the Company’s overseas development strategy.
